Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy is part of our Terms of Service and explains how cancellations and refunds work.

Free trial

Building a website is free and requires no payment method. If you cancel before your 14-day free trial ends, you are never charged and your site returns to a private draft. We email you at least 3 days before the trial's first charge.

Subscriptions

• You can cancel any time from your account billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. We do not charge cancellation fees.
• Subscription charges are generally non-refundable, and canceling does not retroactively refund the current period.
• As a courtesy, if you were charged for a renewal you did not intend and you contact us promptly (within 30 days) before making significant use of the new period, we will consider a refund in good faith. Contact support@smashwebs.com.

Domains

Domain registrations and renewals are non-refundable once the domain is registered or renewed, because the cost is paid to the registry and cannot be reversed. If a domain purchase fails before the domain is registered (for example, the name becomes unavailable), the charge for that purchase is refunded automatically.
